One thing I've got to say straight to the point: Ass Cobra is probably the best PunkRock album of the 90īs. It is simply offering deathpunk at its very best. TRBNGR have finally perfected their "tough guy homo" image and on this record they are just hitting 14 songs over our heads - with no weaknesses or failures. I can remember that I treated myself with Ass Cobra approximately 2 weeks after the arrival of Apocalypse Dudes and that I didn't really know what to do with this disc at the beginning - which today I attribute to the notably bad sound. But over time Ass Cobra has more and more grown to become the MEGA-album that it really is. Ass Cobra is brachial and massive. Its atmosphere is constantly changing between brutal aggression and downright desolation. There is no use in spending a lot of words on songs like "Denim Demon", "Bad Mongo", "I Got Erection", "Sailor Man", etc. - donīt ya think? This record is GOD! By the way: the US-version of Ass Cobra on SFTRI-records contains the two bonus tracks "Screwed And Tattooed" and "Young Boys Feet" (originally by The Dicks).
